Lexi Lawson

Lexi Lawson just finished playing the lead role of Carmen in the world reknown musical FAME right after completing a world tour, playing Vanessa, with the Broadway show “In The Heights.” She joined 'In the Heights' soon after she completed the “Broadway Tour” of the hit show RENT, playing the lead role of MIMI. She toured with the original Broadway cast starring original cast members Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal. Lexi Lawson was also on American Idol Season 8 and made it to Hollywood. Simon Cowell stated "100 percent yes!!!"	Originally from the Bronx, raised in Newburgh, NY of the beautiful Catskill Region, Lexi Lawson has been entertaining audiences nationwide since she was seven years old. Reviewed in national publications across the world, the young and talented singer/songwriter is also a SAG/AFTRA/AEA triple threat. She continues to contribute her talents and pursue her dreams. Her TV and Film credits include “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" (2009 – New Line Cinemas) starring Michael Douglas, Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Gardner, “Can you Hear The Music”(Intermedia), “What Would You Do?” (ABC), “Evergirls” (Nickelodeon), and “American Idol” (Fox).
Living on stage from such a young age, she has been seen in diverse productions such as Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat (Child), Runaways (Jackie), The Trip (Mouse) Musically directed by Steven Schwartz, and Community Theatre Like Alice In Wonderland (Alice), The Wizard Of Oz (Dorothy), Mary Poppins (Lead), Sound Of Music (Louisa), Anything Goes (Dance Captain U/S Reno) and King Lear (Dancer). Aside from musical theater she performed at a range of venues such as Madison Square Garden and Mohegan Sun Arena with Lisa Lisa And The Cult Jams; She opened up for International R&B star Ne-Yo, toured with Glenn Wish in Sweden and Germany, and back up Gloria Gaynor. Her powerhouse vocals have given her the opportunity to grace over 100 stages around the world. She holds the title of the Orange County Idol, Dutchess County Idol and the Top 10 Hudson Valley Idol. Commercial credits include: Sears, Sprint, McDonalds, Charmin, Colgate, Twizzlers, AT&T, MTV (Ashlee Simpson), Noggin (My So Called Life). Because of her family’s diverse musical background, Lexi’s style and grace has given audiences an array of music ranging from broadway, jazz, contemporary, and standards, to funk, R&B, country, soul, and hip hop.
